Origin Car Detailing (“we”, “us”) provides mobile car detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating and paint protection film across Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect when you book

Our booking form asks for the details we need to actually show up and do the work:

• Your name and mobile number — so we can confirm your arrival window by text.
• The service address — where the vehicle will be. We come to you.
• Vehicle year, make and model — this affects pricing and what we bring.
• Your email address — optional. Leave it blank if you prefer.
• Anything you tell us in the notes field — optional, and entirely up to you.

We do not take payment on this website. You pay once the work is finished, in person. We never ask for card or bank details through this site, and you should treat any message claiming otherwise as fraudulent.

There are no user accounts on this site, so there is nothing to register for and no password to store.

Where your booking goes

When you submit the booking form, the details are sent to our customer management system, which we use to schedule the job and to text or call you about it. That provider stores the information on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We use your details to quote, schedule and carry out the work, to contact you about that specific booking, and to keep records of jobs we have done. We do not sell your personal information.

Text messages

By giving us your mobile number you are agreeing that we may text you about your booking — confirming your window, letting you know we are on the way, and sorting out changes. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.

Cookies and advertising measurement

We advertise online, and we measure which ads lead to real bookings. To do that, this site stores a small amount of information in your browser:

• An advertising click identifier. If you arrive here from an ad, the ad platform adds an identifier to the link. We keep it in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days so that if you book later, we can tell which ad brought you. It identifies the click, not you by name.
• Campaign details such as the source, medium and campaign name attached to the link you followed, plus the page you first landed on and the site you came from, if any.
• Cookies set by Google through Google Tag Manager and Google Ads conversion tracking, for the same measurement purpose.

When you submit a booking, that click identifier is submitted with it, which is how we connect an ad click to a completed job. We may report completed bookings back to advertising platforms so their reporting is accurate; where that involves your email or phone number, it is transmitted in a scrambled (hashed) form rather than in the clear.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. The booking form works either way — blocking them only affects our ad measurement, not your booking.

Technical information

Like most websites, our host and performance provider automatically record standard technical details of requests — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to serve the site, keep it fast and protect it from abuse.

How long we keep things

Advertising cookies described above expire within 90 days. Booking and customer records are kept while you are a customer and afterwards for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your records sooner — see below.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask us to stop texting or calling you. Just get in touch using the details below and tell us what you would like — we will not charge you for it, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is for people booking a service for their own vehicle. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
